Oats are a great way to start the day, low G.I, filling and very versatile. Make a weeks worth to save time in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 50 g Oats
  • 120 ml Milk
  • 100 g Natural yoghurt

basic topping

  • 100 g Any frozen fruit of your choice

spiced apple and rasin

  • 1 apple diced, add just before eating
  • .5 tsp cinnamon or as much/little as you prefer
  • 15 g raisins

Banana and peanut butter

  • 1 banana sliced, add just before eating
  • 30 g peanut butter

Chocolate orange

  • 1 small orange peeled and diced, add just before eating
  • 15 g grated chocolate

Carrot cake!

  • 1 apple diced, add just before eating
  • 1 carrot peeled and grated
  • .5 tsp cinnamon
  • .5 tsp nutmeg

Strawberry and basil

  • 100 g fresh strawberries sliced
  • 20 g chopped nuts
  • 15 g chia seeds
  • 5 leaves fresh basil chopped

Lemon, honey and thyme

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon rind
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme chopped

Blueberry and vanilla

  • 100 g blueberries
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime rind
  • .5 tsp vanilla essence

Chunky Monkey

  • 1 banana sliced, add just before eating
  • 20 g chopped walnuts
  • 15 g grated chocolate

Hawaiian

  • 100 g pineapple
  • 15 g desiccated coconut

Instructions

  • Add oats to an airtight container
  • Add milk
  • Add yoghurt
  • Add toppings of your choice
  • Leave overnight
